About us - from raising herbs to sipping lemonade on the front porch.

Welcome to the homestead!  

Now is the perfect time to reclaim a way of life where neighbors meet on the front porch, grandchildren and grandparents snap green beans at the kitchen table and big stories are swapped out in the barn.  As our peaceful way of living has been stripped from us over the past many years, it is time to stop the madness and find sanity again.

So many of the skills and trades that were as common as houseflies in the past have been lost in the fast paced era in which we find ourselves.  I don't know about you, but that fast paced lifestyle wore me out!  It made me long for a quieter way of life so I learned the old skills.  I learned about raising herbs, making herbal remedies, raising chickens, growing our own food and so much more!  Now I am here to share it all with you!  

Thank you so much for being part of this community.  Community is the way to the future we dream of.  This is a place where we can come together to support each other, learn from each other and find joy again.  Welcome to our world.  We will meet you on the front porch.
